THE HARMONY WE ENJOY IN ISSELE AZAGBA IS BECAUSE WE SEE OURSELVES AS ONE ~ Dayan Chukwurah

The vice president of Issele-Azagba Youths Association, Comrade Dayan Chucks Chukwurah has encouraged Issele-Azagba Youths and indeed Issele-Azagba Youths home and abroad, to be ambassadors of the cultures and Traditions of Issele-Azagba.

Comrade Dayan Chukwurah made the remark while speaking to the media on Saturday 5th of October, in Issele-Azagba during the Ine-Aho festival . “We have a responsibility to promote the rich cultures and traditions of our community,” he said.

“Today we are here, as you can see, celebrating the annual festival of Issele-Azagba, which brings to a close the festivities of the traditional year, including the new yam. You can see the chiefs, Youths and the community people in a celebratory mood.   The palace of the Obi is a melting point of activities.

A day like today, you have enormous freedom to say what you want to say to anyone, dress any how you deem fit.  There will be no inhibition, everyone is allowed to come to the palace today as long as you are coming in peace.

The harmony we enjoy in Issele Azagba is because we are one and we see ourselves as such. In our Youth Association constitution, we have a responsibility to promote our cultures and traditions. I enjoin every Issele-Azagba son and daughter, old and young, home and abroad to please embrace and promote our cultures and traditions. We have rich cultures and traditions that dates back to ages. We have ancestors that has made us proud in times past. We owe them a duty to keep the flag flying.
