In a meeting held in Umute, ward ten(10) in Aniocha South Local Government Area, the Peoples Democratic Party leaders of Nsukwa clan deliberated on the political realities of the party in the clan, in the Local government and the state.
The Next Local Government Council Chairman will come from Nsukwa clan

The leaders who have in collaboration with leaders in the other clans of Aniocha South, sought to maintain balance in the Local government to ensure that the party continues to flourish. The consulted leaders in the sister clans; Ubulu and Ogwashi had admonished that the Local Government which stand on three legs as in in tripod has two of the legs taken already, and the remaining and just freed leg, which is the council chairmanship, should go to Nsukwa clan.
The clan leaders agreed on jettisoning factions within the clan and work with common purpose and carry everyone along.
In the meeting of 10th March 2023, the Leaders of Peoples Democratic Party in Nsukwa clan in their communique
– Appreciated the former Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for finishing strong as governor of Delta State and for being a worthy brother and leader.
– Commended Governor Oborevwori Sheriff for taking the batton and making great run. For the projects of the preceding government he has continued with unwavering commitment, and for the unprecedented projects he has initiated.
-Unanimously reached a decision that the next Local Government Council Chairman should come to Nsukwa clan.
