An Ndokwa Forum, Ndokwa Advancement Forum has sent message of appreciation to the apex Ndokwa body, Ndokwa Neku Union(NNU) on the occasion of its 2024 Annual General Assembly themed Ndokwa today, Ndokwa tomorrow.
The group, Ndokwa Advancement Forum, in their felicitation message harped on the apex body’s capacity to make deliberations that will collectively advance the Ndokwa people.
“The Ndokwa Advancement Forum (NAF) wishes to identify with the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) on this auspicious occasion of her 2024 Annual General Meeting holding in Kwale, Delta State.
The Ndokwa people in Nigeria and in the Diaspora, from the academia, professions, military, business, politics, bureaucracy, and chiefs, that constitute the NAF cannot desire a better day than today when the Ndokwa Nationalities from all walks of life are gathered to deliberate on our Deltaness and our Nigerianess as encapsulated in the theme “Ndokwa: Today & Tomorrow”.
We are therefore glad that this day has come, and wishes that deliberations would not only be fruitful, but touches on issues that are strategic to the survival of the Ndokwa people. NAF would only consider as prime, issues that bothers on our internal security, protection and remediation of our environment, beneficial exploitation of our hydrocarbons, equal access to socioeconomic and political opportunities within Nigeria and our dear State in particular, among other salient considerations.
Consequently, lamentations about our sorry and undignifying past should not take the better of today but a foray into a future of fruitful engagements with us by other ethnic Nationalities of Nigeria and the Federal and State Governments.
The time cannot be right than now that the operative Constitution of Nigeria is undergoing a comprehensive review by the National Assembly. It is therefore hoped that our people as collected in the NNU will lay the framework and provide the influences for this required engagements. These therefore, should be the take-home from today’s euphoric gathering as we bid us peaceful deliberations.”
