” You called on me sometime ahead of the 2023 election preparations to take up political contest. It was at the time, soul warming and humbling to have been considered for such service. But like I explained to you at that time that I was committed to the civil service and would not be able to go into political contest. However, that did not deter me from supporting the politics with full strength and disposition.

I will like to tell you today that I am through with civil service, where I have served meritoriously and honed my capacity for leadership. I am now ready to serve you in Politics proper.

I will like to announce to you today, that I will be contesting to serve you as chairman, Aniocha South Local Government Council in this next election.

We cannot continue to pretend that all is well, when people who has no business being in political leadership has taken and seized the levers of power. Aniocha North that is tremendously blessed has with both human and natural resources is become a devastating disappointment. We cannot continue to look the other way while the local government sink deeper and deeper into ruination.”

Responding to the declaration, the second Republic politician, a former First Commissioner Bender state Teaching Service Commission, and  a Labour Party leader, Chief Chris Boise thanked him for the rare courage to step up for leadership at a time true leadership and capacity is needed in the local government polity. ” I did not receive invitation to be here today. But, the moment I saw this information, I said I must be here to welcome and encourage you. You have risen through the ranks and displayed character. So also your brother who made his mark in the federal civil service.

We live in a time where we are experiencing a gap in leadership  for authentic service. Is time we begin again to put our best feet forward.  I will ask you to kneel down let me pray for you”.
