GOVERNOR SHERIFF SAYS IT THE WAY IT IS AND GETS THINGS DONE~Amgbaduba

He doesn't wear his emotions in his sleeves.

The former commissioner for oil and gas in Delta state, Chief Emman Amgbaduba stated that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori says it the way it is and gets things done. Sen Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has listening skill and puts all the indices together before responding, Chief Amgbaduba said.

Chief Amgbaduba, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Delta South, was speaking in an exclusive  television interaction with NOL24 TV, in the programme  POLITICAL ROADMAP. Responding to the leadership qualities he has observed and possibly imbibed from the two political leaders; Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the immediate past governor of Delta state, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa, the affable politician described the two leaders as effective leaders with noticeable similarities in leadership qualities.

“Well, haven worked with my boss, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, the Ekwueme, I picked up some listening skills from him. He is a great listener. Someone who would listen and put all the indices together, before saying whatever he wants to say. That I learned from him. I also know that he is someone who loves to carry everyone along. He does not feel like you are too inferior, not important, that I have learned from Ekwueme.

Then, I can also tell you that the present governor that is leading Delta state now, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, who is my oga and friend. He has all those qualities I have also mentioned about Dr Okowa, plus let’s get it done. He looks at things objectively, but responds spontaneously. Which means he has picked up most of those skills from our overall boss, Dr Okowa- processing and responding.

The difference is that one would process at his pace as a medical doctor, and the other as a legislator, processes and discharges like that. He does not wear his emotions on his sleeves. If anything, he will say it the way it is.

I think, when you don’t wear your emotions on your sleeves, you are diligent in what you do. You are articulate in collating information, your interpersonal skills are of global standard, and you are there for the people, available, accessible. With these qualities put together, I believe that your management expertise will reach out to the door steps of the people.”
